We enjoyed going through the gift shop at the Schells Brewery which was decorated for Christmas....very festive. They were giving tours and offering a taste of beer also. We did enjoy our day in New Ulm but were a little disappointed in the Holiday Inn and Otto's Restaurant. The rooms are not as nice as we remembered at the hotel and the meat was a little tough. The whole German atmosphere was still nice but everything else was not up to par.

I do like your festive Schell's brewery photos. Glad they were offering tastes of beer, but sorry about the tough meat at the restaurant. I hope there was some good beer at the restaurant to make up for that.

Recent small shopping forays seen especially puny when I consider that no one offered me sips of beer!
Ah, things do not ever stay the same do they? But even if the meat was tough, the pictures are most festive and fun. Glad you are safely back up nort and hope the weather behaves and that you do not get snowed in anytime soon.
