We took a drive up to the park yesterday and I took a few pictures. It was not a sunny day so the pictures could be better. The Lodge will close tomorrow for the season. :-(
We sat and enjoyed the fire while sipping some wine and reading the paper...Bill even rested his eyes for awhile. There were a couple of kids sitting there reading and said they were home schooled so that was why they were there on Friday.
As we drove out of the park we encountered a fox walking along the road....we saw him the other day also. The leaves were pretty but not as nice as last year and the wind has done its damage also.

Looks like a wonderful day! What a lovely place to sip wine and read the paper. love the photos. The little fox is very cute--he also looks very sly.
it is good to see Itasca again and that fireplace and I can just imagine sitting there sipping and reading. delightful. sad that it is closing for season but at least you've got the pictures!
