Mike & Cassandra's Wedding

Here are the beautiful bride and handsome groom. This is Prissy's son, Mike. They are on a honeymoon in Pensacola right now. We just arrived home last night and I'm busy washing clothes today. I have uploaded a bunch of pictures of our trip and the wedding to Snapfish if anyone wants to see them.....just let me know.

I appreciated reading JB's email and Anne's blog while we were away...sorry I wasn't doing the same. Pretty busy time....I feel for Prissy having to go to work today.

I'm getting ready for a garage sale at my cousin's home on Thursday...hope to sell a few things also. It is in Cottage Grove so I'll be helping out there and probably staying overnight also. Never a dull moment!

Fun at Poker

Here is the latest picture of our poker group....Prissy had to go to Rochester so couldn't join us. Janet had a granddaughter's birthday party to go to. I did very well.....took home lots of pennies. WooHoo. Big spenders that we are. I should have been in Vegas.

I'm getting excited for our trip to Denver for my nephew's wedding. It should be a fun time....just have to decide what to pack now. I'm riding with Prissy and family which is nice. We are stopping at Mt. Rushmore and the Badlands on the way so Heather's friend, Charlie can see it. I always love going to Mt. Rushmore....it's a historical site and makes me feel proud to be an American. We will probably stop at Wall Drug also which is kind of fun to see. I think they still sell coffee for 10 cents. When we took our granddaughters there a couple of years ago, they got a kick out of it.

Mom & Me Contest

Hi,
Just checking in to see how everyone is doing but nobody is blogging lately. It must be because it's spring and we are all busy outside and away from our computers.

I've been busy voting for my relatives who are in the Mom & Me Contest on the Star Tribune website. They were in the top 25 finalists. Everyone has to enter a picture of Mom and Daughter or Mom & Son and whoever looks most alike is supposed to win. However, I think it's more of popularity contest than anything else. Anyway, the voting is over now and they will announce the winner Monday. Hope my relatives win.

It's a beautiful day up north today. Fishing opener is tomorrow so there are lots of people pulling their fishing boats up here today. The weather is supposed to be kind of bad though....it may snow! I'll be inside by the fire, thank you very much.

Keeping In Touch

I'm sorry I have been away from the blog for a few days but have been busy on Facebook trying to get in contact with some old friends for a reunion. I have found some of them which is great. Here are some old pictures from years ago....we didn't smile much when taking pictures back in the '70's. ;-)
