A Day of Irish Revelry

Diane, Joan, Anne & I decided to go and see the St. Patrick's Day Parade and had a fun time. There were so many people there and the parade was quite long. I was able to get a few pictures of the Irish folk all dressed up in their finest green garb....even their dogs were dressed up! We ate lunch at a great little Thai restaurant that Joan told us about and then went through the downtown St. Paul Library that Anne hadn't seen...it is so impressive. We stopped in City Hall where we had to go through security to see the onyx statue, Vision of Peace which is 36 feet tall and weighs 60 tons and designed by Swedish sculptor Carl Milles. That evening Diane and I went to play poker and had a lot of laughs so all in all it was a very nice St. Patrick's Day!
