Another Year Older 2011

Bill and I had a few days up at the cabin to get it ready for winter and were able to go up to the Mississippi Headwaters one last time before the snow flies. There was only one other couple up there who were vacationing from Florida...we offered to take their picture and could into a long conversation with them. They were heading farther north to International Falls before going back home.

We went out to eat at the North Pointe restaurant but our friend Don was not singing that night. In his place we were delighted to hear The Sons of Norway sing for us! They were having dinner and a meeting and we were seated close by so were able to hear the jokes and the singing. They started out by singing Oh Canada and followed that up with a Norwegian song, the National Anthem and finally with a Norwegian prayer before they ate. I loved it! How often does something like this happen??

Thanks to everything for their birthday greetings!

looks like a lovely birthday celebration up nort! The Sons of Norway story is fun....how sweet...although too bad Don was not there--bet he would have sung Happy Birthday just for you! Looking forward to continuing the celebration on Wednesday.
